"Tara listened silently and intently to what my brother and I had to say about the kind of goodbye we wanted for our dad. It was to be a service of celebration and praise; no sadness was there to be! She met us at dad’s home in the Huon Valley and asked to see what items we had gathered that held memory and meaning. Again, she listened, smiled and asked questions as she made her way through what was essentially a hallway of bric-a-brac!

With Tara’s incredible creative talents and keen ability to empathise and translate, she took all the items that represented dad’s life and wove them into a visual memory quilt. Nothing was off limits, including the (almost complete) Huon Valley Concert Band, which performed several times throughout the service.

With everything from the last rose bloom from dad’s garden, to the folded sheet music, to the autumn leaves that adorned his coffin and the church, it was hard to imagine that Tara had not so much as met my dad, given the level of meticulous detail she included in the arrangement. My brothers and I were utterly convinced that dad would have been more than approving of the send-off that we gave him."

The display was beautifully done and highlighted my friend's achievements and interests in a very sensitive way. I was overwhelmed with the attention to detail and the way Tara had listened to my comments about my friend. My friend would have thoroughly approved of it. Many people at the service commented on this innovative way of honouring a loved one's life."
